About Us
Maggie Bunker
Maggie has worked throughout her career with children, young people and their families and adults, to support their health and well being; initially as a nurse, and then as a Counsellor, prior to training as an Integrative Child Psychotherapist at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education www.artspsychotherapy.org/
where she previously completed the Diploma in Therapeutic and Educational Application of the Arts and a Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling with Adolescents.
She has significant experience of working in health and education as a therapist. Now registered with United Kingdon Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP), an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and member of the BACP Counselling Children and Young People group. She co-wrote an article; Bunker M. Ryan S. (2004) Miss, I ain’t doin’ none of that talkin’ stuff Counselling and Psychotherapy Journal Vol15 No 01 p7-8. She completed ‘Supervision of counsellors working with young people’ course and has supervised qualified and training counsellors. Maggie has managed a team of therapists throughout West Sussex Schools, co-run a school peer-support team, has significant experience in group work with young people and consultation re health and well being of students. My career has provided me with experience, and skills, working with children and adults from all sections of society, often at times of significant difficulties, as they required therapeutic interventions.
